Both houses of federal parliament have been recalled to sit on April 18 to consider government legislation reinstating the building industry monitor. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says this is an opportunity for the Senate to do its job of legislating rather than filibustering. Mr Turnbull says if the Parliament fails to pass the ABCC Bills he will recommend a double dissolution to the Governor General. If it does proceed to a double dissolution Mr Turnbull says the election will be on 2nd of July. The budget will now be held on 3rd May.
