Running battles between police and protesters broke out Monday evening in one of Hong Kongs most densely populated neighborhoods, leaving dozens of people injured and arrested on the first night of the Lunar New Year.In the worst violence to hit the city since pro-democracy protests in 2014, rioters were seen setting fires and throwing bricks, bottles and other projectiles at police. Television footage showed an officer firing two warning shots into the air and then aiming his gun at a crowd of protesters at one point.
