“I believe what I see” Chinese Film Director Liu Xiangchen said

Liu Xiangchen is widely regarded as one of Chinas leading documentary filmmakers. A writer and scholar, he studied visual anthropology at Xinjiang Normal University in China. Xiangchens best-known documentaties include The Sun Tribe (2005), Jade Mountain (2002), Asiq: The Last Troubador (2011) and The Feast of Kurban Bayram (2012). Xiangchens latest film, screened for the first time in Australia, is Eid al-Fitr (开斋节). In this interview with SBS Radio journalis Zhou Li, Xiangchen introduced his latest work Eid al-Fitr (开斋节), which was based on many months fieldwork and filming among the Kyrgyz people of Xinjiang.
