Is DNA the main driven force for IQ?

Nobel Prize winner James Watson has repeated comments that genetic variations result in IQ differences between black and white people. Although he later apologized for publicly commencing on those views, he was forced to retire from his job as chancellor at Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island, but he has retained his office there, as well as the titles of chancellor emeritus, Oliver R. Grace professor emeritus and honorary trustee. However, he reinstated his view in public in January 2019 following the broadcast of a television documentary in which Watson repeated his views about race and genetics, CSHL revoked honorary titles that it had awarded to him. Does his speech merely base on his research? Do contemporary academics agreed on whether IQ is Genome driven?
