Dow Jones, especially Nasdaq had entered bear markets, as its shares dropped more than 10% recently.


Markets were sensitive to US Fed maintaining its original rate schedule outlook and was seen as speaking with a hawkish tone. Coupled with the uncertainties surrounding US & China trade dispute negotiation, the Brexit outcome, and partial close down of US Government.  All these seemed to discourage any Santa rally this year.

Today is almost the last trading week of 2018, and we begin the yearly review of each different markets, as well as their challenges and opportunities in the new year.  

Shingwing’s Head of International Business, David Chu, has a wide exposure to China and Australian trade.  He will give us some lights about how China market fared in 2018 and the challenges and opportunities ahead
