Long expected Xi and Trump Summit was held at Buenos Aires after G20 Summit. And the result was very much within everybody's expectation. The problem was not entirely solved, but both party agreed to a 90 day truce, giving time for both countries to settle difficult issues.

This will certainly give the markets a breathing space to prepare for the traditional Christmas rally.

In the near term, markets would like to ride high after the immediate uncertainty was removed, but it could very well  consolidate a bit first before staging the rally later in the month as we saw it was driven high up by Powell's pleasant surprising speech on US official cash rate near neutral status.

Considering US and China negotiation ended without solving all issues, so what's the likely reactions from the markets as a whole, our guest, Dr Po Man Chan believed market sentiment has greatly improved regardless laying the foundation for the traditional Christmas rally we all can expect.
