Meningococal disease is caused by bacteria about 10 % of people are known as carriers without becoming unwell. Adolescents are at increased risk of it and more likely to spread it to others. Aged 15-18 are recommended to join the vaccinations program. In this episode, Dr Catherine Wong explains the disease.
