On Saturday 3 September, stories from Victoria's international students were celebrated at the Melbourne Writers Festival. Five international students from China, Colombia, Brazil and Malaysia have been announced as winners of the Study Melbourne My Melbourne storytelling competition, which asked students from around the world to reflect on their time and experience studying in the State by creating and sharing their stories in both written and visual forms. All shortlisted entries will be turned into a limited edition published book, to be shared with readers in Victoria and around the world. This will be illustrated by an international student currently studying in Victoria. Two finalists, Cindy Wang Xinyi and Lucky Cui Bijun, were interviewed by Aaron Wan after the ceremony. They are going to share with you their stories about their Melbourne.
