The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (also known as "the UK" or "Britain") is constituted of four countries, as well as other commonwealth countries and 14 "British Overseas Territories", together they form the "Commonwealth of Nations". As these countries cover a wide range of longitudes of the planet, the United Kingdom is also called "the empire on which the sun never sets".
