While some states have gone without single-use plastic bags for years, shoppers in other states trialed it for the first time today. The move comes ahead of a nationwide ban on plastic bags from the major supermarkets in July in attempt to reduce plastic pollution. Ivan and Waiyee have asked Waste and Resource Recovery Community Educator Louie Leung from Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils and our audience to discuss whether they agree banning single-use plastic bags could help to protect our environment?
