The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, has warned that Europe can no longer completely rely on others. Speaking after what she had earlier described as a very difficult and unsatisfactory G7 summit, she said Europeans had to take their destiny into their own hands, while still remaining friends with the United States and Britain. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has dismissed reports about his son in law's alleged connections to Russia as "fake news."
