Two world leaders resign

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has met with President Sergio Mattarella to discuss his resignation. Mr Renzi had promised to step down if he lost a ballot on constitutional reform, but has agreed to wait until after new budget law has been passed. Meanwhile, John Key has resigned as prime minister of New Zealand in a surprise announcement.. He made the decision days after celebrating eight years as Prime Minister and a decade as leader of the country's conservative National Party.
