What popular items are not allowed into Australia?

As the Chinese New Year (the year of the Pig) is around the corner, a lot of Chinese Australians and visitors are coming to Australia.


There are some popular things that they would bring along but they are not allowed to bring into Australia, especially African Swine Fever has been spreading across China.

Tina Leung, Senior Biosecurity Officer, the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, explains why certain things are banned and whether the Fever has been detected on pork that has arrived in Australia.
