Adria Village was established by the Croatian community of Canberra and Queanbeyan. It’s official opening in 1994 was the result of years of voluntary work undertaken by members of the local community, both in the administration and building of the Village. Ana Solomon visited its residents and Committee Board members who talked about future plans and the serious lack of qualified staff members capable of speaking Croatian language.
