Foreign aid sector hoping to dodge the 2017 Budget razor

For the first time in four years, foreign aid spending is expected to avoid cuts in the May Budget. Aid agencies say it is vital for Australia to keep up an international role amid worsening civil conflicts overseas and famine in Africa.
