Iraqi forces launch move on IS stronghold Mosul

Iraqi coalition forces have launched their long-awaited operation to recapture the major city of Mosul from the self-proclaimed Islamic State. Thousands of leaflets were dropped over the weekend, warning civilians of the impending bid to retake the city. The United Nations is bracing for a major humanitarian fallout from the battle, with fears up to a million people could be left homeless.
