Is empy housing part of the problem in rising prices?

Property analysts suggest hundreds of thousands of houses and apartments may be unoccupied across Australia, a situation they say is exacerbating the housing crisis. It comes as dwelling prices nationwide rose by 1.4 per cent in February, with the median price standing at $570,000. That is up nearly 11 per cent over the past 12 months.
