To help discuss that, Aduei Riak who is studying Public Health talks about the reasons and the negative impacts that can come with the use of the skin bleaching creams. Recently, Al Jazeera brought into a light issue of skin bleaching within the South Sudanese community in Juba.


As controversial as it is, many people gave the reasons of why they used many of this skin bleaching creams.   In many parts of Africa and Asia, skin whitening or skin lightening involves using multiple bleaching solutions for one to be beautiful.  The more significant concern is now on health part where many of the skin lightenings contain dangerous chemicals like hydroquinone and mercury. Some of these chemicals are considered hazardous for one skin.
