American freelance journalist among 19 people killed in Kaya-South Sudan

In South Sudan, a U.S. freelance journalist who was identified as Christopher Allen is reported to have been one of the 19 people who died when the rebels fighters attacked the border town of Kaya. The body of the Christopher Allen was discovered among the 15 bodies of the opposition fighters. South Sudan military spokesperson Santo Domic Chol confirmed the news of Allen death. Christopher Allen was covering the operation and the rebel told Reuters that We are sad for his family. He came here to tell our story. On the Government side, three soldiers were killed and that adds to the total number of 19 people including Christopher Allen. American Embassy in Juba is yet to release a statement.
