The New South Wales regional city of Armidale has a population of more than 30,000. That figure is set to grow, with the town soon to be home to hundreds of newly arrived Iraqi and Syrian refugees. Former Mayor of Armidale, Herman Beyersdorf, says the community has been waiting two years for the announcement.
