As evacuations persist, growing fears that the Sudan conflict may escalate and expand

Despite other countries evacuating their citizens and personnel from Sudan, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has announced that the UN will stay in the country to support the Sudanese people. Mr Guterres fears that the fighting could escalate and spread throughout the region.
