SBS Dinka has obtained an audio interview between the unknown interviewer and the interviewee is purported to be one of the prisoners inside the South Sudanese National security facility. This audio was recorded between the hours of the morning when the stand-off started between the guards and the prisoners.

Until now, no one was aware on which extend or what number of people were being kept inside the National Security’s facility in Juba? The talent who spoke inside the prison said that there are about 400 people arrested there that now 200 of them are armed. National Security confirmed the standoff on which they accused one of their former employees who is now a prisoner to have staged the protest inside the prison. This prisoner was only called Mr. B and this is what he has to say.

“the situation was basically caused by the frustration and injustice. There are a lot of people being detained here both civilians and foreign nationals in salvage without access to justice. What we are asking is this, we are not going to cause any travel to anybody, but we want justice. We also want the government to show some responsibilities.”

The talent alleged that they are surrounded by the government forces and that the exchange between them with some national security officers last night left one of their prisoners with serious injuries. It is not known how many years some of these people have been inside that facility, but many have been there for months and none is given access to lawyers or even taken to court. He reported that detained prisoners were hiding inside the bunkers and the only people outside where the armed prisoners.

According to the report published by VOA, the problem started when the prison who are frustrated overwhelmed the guards and took guns from them. Another unverified report said that the prisoners broke into the National Security store where guns were kept. SBS Dinka couldn't verify the authenticity of the audio but the source confirmed as the latest interview. We will update you in case of any latest development
