Awad Ibn Auf resigned after 24 hours and Lt Gen Abdel Fattah succeeded him as the head of the Transitional Military Council in Sudan

Sudanese former Defence Minister who announced himself as the head of the newly formed Transitional Military council resign his position and named another military general as the head. Awad Ibn Auf took over from President Omar Hassan el Beshir who stepped down on Thursday. Name Lt Gen Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman Burhan succeeded as the head of the Transitional Military Council in Sudan.
