The head lawyer for Facebook has admitted the social media platform should have spotted political advertisements had been paid for in Russian currency. Lawyers for Facebook, Twitter and Google have faced questions at a congressional hearing about how Russians allegedly manipulated the social media networks to influence last year's US election.
