The tournament is organised by South Sudanese Community Association in Western Australia.
The only way community can come together is through sport to bring our young people together.
"The tournament is organised to bring together young from South and Sudanese background during the holidays using their love of footfall or soccer as many call it in Australia just interacting with each other with manners” Said Achol Madoong. She went on to say playing sport does not discriminate because when people play sport they are having fun, they are making friends and they are having great time and staying physically fit.
Achol also explained that the idea to host the soccer tournament again is that a lot of the young people are playing sport at their own time, playing soccer in their own time but during school holidays or during holiday they don’t have a place where they can come together as a community. Therefore, the South Sudanese community in the WA decided to do was to established or put together platform where they can unite all these young people.
