Garang Chol Bul is one of the most decorated singers when it comes to traditional folk music. As a traditional practice, Garang acquired many nicknames later in his life including Garang-Majumuo and Thiai-ring among others.

In the 1980s, Garang started composing revolutionary songs that were used by many units of the SPLA including unaccompanied minors. We interviewed Garang while he was visiting the United State for the first time. He was invited by Lith community and he is currently in Florida. Here is Garang-Majumuo's first interview on SBS Dinka Radio.
