Philip Aguer:"What happened in Duk Payuel is bad because we have lost many people and many missing" South Sudanese town of Duk Payuel and Panyang County came under attack from the alleged Murles gunmen. According to Governor of Jonglei on his first interview after the incident on SBS.

"What happened in Duk is bad. I have called Ismail Kony and he said that 'those who attacked Duk came from Longkuanglei and these are part of those who never accepted the peace agreement between the two communities'. Government or humanitarian agencies couldn't help in airlifting the wounded from Duk Payuel. Only the youth of Duk manage to charter a plane that picked the wounded from Duk to Juba. Government helicopters aren't working now and some of them are sent for repair."
