Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, who died today aged 91, is remembered as someone who strived for peace during an era marked by the threat of nuclear war. After a shaky start to negotiations, he established good relations with then U-S President Ronald Reagan and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
