Awur Mawel:”Sebit William was a unique and great person and we are proud of what we have done”

In October 1990, Awur Mawel Malual who was a 24 years old officer with given orders to command movement of over one thousand children from Bor District. Many of these children were between the age of six and fifteen years old boys. With orders from Kuol Manyang to Arun Maan Chot, Awur who was the headmaster of Malek School in Bor was then selected to take these children to Torit. After Torit, these will be again moved to Polataka. In the Same year, Awur was joined by Sebit William Garang Dut at the rank of captain. Awur went to Juba to attend the funeral of the former director of FACE Foundation and here is what he has to say in his first SBS Dinka interview.
