With a family to support overseas and also paying his accommodation, things went from bad to worse between 2016 and 2017. Manyok alleged that the two months salary was paid, but only diplomats were given the full payment but the local (Americans-South Sudanese) were given one month”.

Manyok said that he wanted the issue to be resolved and approached Ambassador Garang Diing Akuong but he was told to go to court.

“I approached Ambassador (Garang Ding Akuong) and told him that I was left with two weeks then I will be going visit family. Instead, Garang said,’If you need your money then go to court and we will meet there.’
