Bol Aweng Machar left Australia in 2020, and he couldn’t find it easy to return to Australia. The border closure forced Bol to spend six months overseas, and he just arrived back in Australia and will spend 14 days at the hotel quarantine in Melbourne. Bol told SBS Dinka that the 'level of suffering for South Sudanese Australians stranded overseas is getting worse because they cannot work within South Sudan or find any support from Australia'.
