South Sudanese Canadian helping to rehabilitate youth

Chol Deng Kuir Powel is a 27 year old South Sudanese Canadian. He arrived in Canada in 2005 at age 16. He currently lives and works in Winnipeg. After recent youth issues in Australia, we contacted Chol to tell us about how they are dealing with youth issues in Canada. Chol is currently work as an Ad Hoc Policy Analyst at Immigration Canada and as a Community Connector at NEEDS Inc (Newcomer Education Employment Development Services), a non-profit organization that provides accessible services and support to immigrant and refugee children, youth and their families through the NEEDS Centre and inner city schools.
