Thiik also dived into matters to do with how President Kiir is running the country as a member of the family, Thiik blamed the officials in the office of the President including the press secretary for misinforming people always. This is part one of the interview on SBS Dinka.
As Deputy Mayor of Juba, Thiik said there is a need to close down clubs because of issues to do with young people.
"We have to stop the night club as the best way to protect our girls. Girls as young as 12 years old are a victim of exploitation and abuse in Juba. Many of those who are denying on Juba's street includes clubs goers. When they are drunk, hardly will they know their own safety and that why some of them become victims at night. in the hands of criminals....."
Thiik also made comments about the performances of President Kiir. He thinks that those around President are not telling President the reality of what is affecting people or how citizens live their daily lives.
“I think it the best time, to tell the truth about President Kiir. People who are working for President Kiir have created a lot of enemies for him. Ateny Wek Ateny has always misrepresented the President or use his position to release wrong statements on behalf of the President. President is a good man, but people have taken advantage of him in many ways. I have always thought President should be out meeting his people because they love him, but he is misinformed about the dangers awaiting him,,,,. As a member of the family, I think we are being sidelined and misrepresented. Kiir is the only child among his 9 siblings to go to school and there no one in our family of his age that can help him. No, that I am in politics, I think it is time to tell the real stories of the man I know but now what people say. President Kiir needs this country to have peace, and this must be achieved."
