Prime Minister Scott Morrison made the announcement early on Thursday [[April 11]] after weeks of speculation. It's on -- Australians will vote in the 2019 federal election on May the 18th. Prime Minister Scott Morrison made the announcement after meeting with Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove early on Thursday.
