Young South Sudanese in Australia are struggling with depressions, but parent understands nothing about their mental health.'

(Audio in Dinka) Speaking from experiences, a 26 years old Diyo Ayuen told SBS Dinka that many South Sudanese parents in Australian don't understand what their children are going through, including depressions. As a teenager, she experienced many things from using drugs, committed a crime and then later reformed to be the religious leader now.


Four years since she was first interviewed on SBS Dinka, Diyo has used her Facebook profile to preach and also attend youths programs across the country.
