Ancient Dinka wrestling being revive in Australia

On 25/03/2017, South Sudanese youth from South Australia and Victoria came head to head during the ancient Dinka's wrestling at Sunshine west of Melbourne. This event was organised by the South Sudanese Australian Traditional Wrestling Association (SSATWA).

The two teams of Melbourne lions and Adelaide cobras faced off with hundreds of people cheering them. Each team brought in 8 wrestlers. Melbourne Lions defeated Adelaide Cobras 4 to 3 and one draw. The full list of wrestlers was as follow

Youth Dancing

After the youth from South Australia (Adelaide Cobra) and Victoria (Melbourne Lions) finished their match. The youth and all the spectators who were at the site joined the traditional dances. This dancing is meant to make the successful nature of the whole event.
