Amuor Alier is toddler whose life is now being threatened by the two operations that left her with serious injury in her stomach. According to the mother Awak Arok, Amuor was a normal child but her life changed for the worse after she had an operation for suspected appendicitis. Even if the mother was with her at the hospital, she was never shown the evidence of what was removed in her.

The visible scare shows that the operation was either done below or above the umbilical area. Since the time operation was done, this young girl has been in a constant pain and swelling in her belly. No any specialised advice that was given to the mother until the mother was met by South Sudanese model Aheu Deng Kudum whose is now doing an online fundraising o send the little girl for further medical help. Deng Goch of SBS Dinka interviewed the mother in Kakuma Refugee camp.
