(Audio in Dinka) South Sudanese-Australian Model Adut Akech has been announced as the Melbourne Fashion Week ambassador. Adut who started her career at a very young age is now based in New York and still comes back to Melbourne. Adut said she sees herself as a role model to help change the narratives about South Sudanese in Australia.
