A new Australia-based charity hopes to improve the lives of South Sudan’s refugees and those disadvantaged by war through improving farming techniques and establishing food security in the young nation.

Elijah Dau Wer co-founded Jonglei Food Initiative in Western Australia with other South Sudanese across Australia. JFS helped many local farmers to farm over 300 farms in 2018 in Jonglei State. According to Elijah, JFS will give local farmers the ability to triple the level of food production. Dau sees the program as the best solution to the resettlement of the internally displaced people. .We interview Elijah Dau on SBS Dinka radio about the role of JFS.
