Bul Thuch Dut was elected as the President of Twic East community in July before the meeting of Greater Bor Community-USA in September. Prior to the meeting, Bul and his counterparts met to prepare for the election but instead the leader of GBC added an agenda for the change of name from Greater Bor to Jonglei. Even if GBC was to be formed from the basis of counties, this time Duk was not part of this meeting due to the protest on the allocation of parliamentary seats back in South Sudan.
