(Podcast in Dinka) International and regional agencies sent a joint letter to the UNSC urging the agency to take steps to use targeted sanctions on those who are alleged to be responsible for the violations of Human Rights laws in South Sudan.


The worded letter (Joint Letter to UNSC on South Sudan Sanctions Renewal) also accused the head of the security agency for 'the apparent fates of Aggrey Idri and Dong Samuel'.

"The apparent fates of Aggrey Idri and Dong Samuel at the orders of Lieutenant General Akol Koor Kuc are just two examples of blatant disregard for the right to life and the cyclical culture of impunity."
