The cause of the Sudan war began in the town of Bor when the Sudanese army attacked the unit formed of many South Sudanese soliders who refused to be transferred to the North. In this interview Manayng Agok Aliet who was an eye witness said, "105 battalion was attacked at Malualchat by the Sudanese army which came from Juba and joined some of their soldiers at Pariak then proceeded to Malualchat". At the time Bullet Alier Mangardit was at the base and Karbino Kuanyin Bor was in Bor town with Dr John Garang at Langbar.
