The story of Magok Lual Nhial and Koor Gai Ngong is a typical story of suffering and endurance especially the way these two have lived their lives after the Sudanese war. Magok Lual Nhial was born in Tong of Angakuei and joined the SPLA in 1986.

Magok fought in many towns across East and Western Equatoria. In Dec 1991, the life of Magok changed after he was injured in an airstrike by the Sudanese airforce. Magok one hand was amputated immediately at the scene and then transferred to Logichogio where the arm was amputated. For over two decades now, Magok relies on others when it comes to day to day life.
