On 5 Feb 2014, the village of Guala-Kolnyang Payam was attacked by unknown gunmen. The attack claimed 30 lives. Among the those killed were the family of Makech Machol Bol. Family members were killed and their four children abducted. The youngest son who was with his dad was also injured but that assailant took him with the gunshot wound. Cobra Faction was a rebel unit of the army led by the current South Sudanese deputy Minister of Defence David Yau Yau. These children were taken to Murles land where they were each sold for 30 cows to different families. Their uncle Mangok Mach Bol who is an American citizen took up the challenge to pursue their freedom using international agencies and also the South Sudanese government. In an exclusive interview on SBS Dinka Radio, Mangok discusses the whole story
