SBS Dinka Radio conducted an interview with a medical officer who is now working in Tonj State about the reported cholera outbreak in the Luacjang. The four counties of Luacjang are now dealing with the Cholera outbreak which is reported to have killed many people. The outbreak lasted for more than a week now and the areas affected do not have a better access that could allow any vehicles to pick up patients. According to Reech Chaguor Reec who is a medical officer, and working for the Ministry of Health said that the infection was spreading fast. “Four people can volunteer to carry one of the infected people to the medical centre but the four would end up infected too.” Reec said that National, State Governments, and the NGOs are working hard to help rescue the situation across the community. Other Nuer community counties could be victims especially Mayendit area according to Reec because these communities share the border. Here the interview with Reech Chaquor Reec on SBS Dinka Radio
