Philip Thon Nyok: "We needed to divide Jonglei State in order to take ‘town to people’ and serve people better"

Philip Thon Nyok is a South Sudanese politician and MP in Jonglei State Parliament. He is currently the MP for Bor metropolitan area. Thon with the support of other colleague sponsored a bill that could be used to divide Jonglei State into potential two States of Jonglei and Bor State. Even if the decision was unanimous, the Governor of State will have to add his decision this and then the document shall be forwarded to the President or council of States in Juba. We interviewed Philip Thon Nyok today and here is what he has to say in his first interview with Ajak Deng Chiengkou of SBS Dinka Radio.
