Are you ok” campaign started in 2009 by Gavin Larkin in honour of his father who committed suicide in 1995 that has left his family in shock. Suicide prevention requires confidential approach where trust is established and built between the clients and person to whom they are sharing their personal story with, be it relatives or friends or in professional context. Garang stated that “person with depressive state or stigma or not require to be labelled as a person with mental health because this required acceptance and trust for the person you are speaking to trust you and when he/she speak to you and has understanding that you are not going to share the information with other parties”. It needs open but trusting relationship to make sure those sensitive information shares are protected and remain private. When talking to person in this situation it requires calm but quiet environment for sharing.
