Solidarity Action Group is an initiative that was created by friends who needed to change the lives of street children in South Sudan. The strategy used to raise money by these over 35 members was based on the concept of ‘save one drink’ and donate the money to help the needy. Deng Bol Kuir who was interviewed SBS Dinka Radio said that they have found a place for these children in Bor. They are providing all of the needed services including encouraging children to go back to school.

“We as a team don’t need to children suffering on our streets. We don’t need to see children living without a bright future for them. The 25 children that are under our care are living in the center. Their centre is protected by a security guard (watchman), there is also someone to cook for them.  It is our mission to serve many children across South Sudan and it will be great if people can also support this idea.”

Solidarity Action Group is a very unique organization that brought together businessmen/women, pilots, lawyers and other diverse backgrounds in terms of career. According to Deng Bol Kuir, SAG as not for profit organization will work with the state authorities to make sure that all children are kept in schools but not streets.
