South Sudanese former child soldiers commemorate 16 may in Brisbane

In 1983, Sudaneses people between north and south in what became African longest war. In those years, many of the children especially unaccompanied minors were recruited into the army. Over 26 thousands children who were later known as lost boys of Sudan went to different camps in Ethiopia and within Sudan. Thousands out of these children never made to peace times but those who survived now gathered across the world to remember the day. On 14/05/2016, many of the surviors gathered in Brisbane to remember their colleagues and to appreciate the life that they are living today in Australia and across the world. Peter Ayii Atem spoke about how he survived all these ahead of the event on Saturday.
