After Sofina Nikat, the mother of late Sanaya Rahib, accused an African male of snatching her daughter while walking at the park, many of the African communities were offended when it was discovered it was a false accusation. These accusations came about when Sanaya was reported as missing. Soon after that Sofina Nikat confessed to the murder of her daughter but African communities became angry. Many African leaders responded to the report made by some of the media agencies in which they demanded a formal apology. Kot Manoah who is a chairman of the South Sudanese Community Association in Victoria was among the first to release a statement. We interviewed Kot (who is also a lawyer) about this and he also discussed family violence and children. Here is the interview.
